And Some Pre Christmas Events

I should have done this post first, I suppose, before the Xmas one, but I never know how much time I'm going to have on the computer before being interrupted...

We did get to visit Santa before Xmas, (the boys were here too, but had no interest in sitting with him), where he had a nice chat with Evie.  He told her his elves would be making her a nice Barbie, since that was what she asked him for.  He tried to get more specific, asking her what kind of Barbie.  "Pink!", our little girl answers.

So Christmas morning brought Santa's gift...

...and although by the way she looks, you could caption this photo "Take it back!!", she actually was quite happy with it!

Other pre-Christmas events included some cookie baking for the Montessori Cookie Walk fundraiser, and Evie's concert at the school.

Here she is in her snow princess outfit, a beautiful sweater/skirt combo that she picked out herself when we were shopping one day.  It's pink of course.

And here she is, the harried chef, getting the cookie dough stirred to her satisfaction (in underpants, like a good chef does, taking after her mother I think).

Some of the final product.  It was an amazing event!  Loads of different kinds of cookies, all made by Montessori families.  You paid one price for a container and just went around filling up with all the different kinds of cookies.  We needed them at our house like we needed a hole in the head

but nonetheless they were enjoyed and gooned up well before Christmas actually arrived.  We had Gluten-free versions for Sean too.
