Snake Year!

We celebrated with some of our fellow adoptive families...a nice lunch and a bit of a visit.

Evie wore a qipao that I had bought in China when we adopted her.  (I bought a few for the years ahead).  She still loves to wear them, but some of the other girls aren't into it anymore.  That may be the case with Evie in a year or two, but I'd like to keep her interested in her birth culture.  I do understand though, that the qipaos aren't really worn by children in China for CNY.  Just something us westerners like to do I guess!

A better picture of her in the qipao.  She also wore it to Montessori school and Mummy came in to talk to the kids about Chinese New Year too.
