Poor doggie. For her Spa Day is not as much fun. She knows, as soon as I pull out the box of combs and shampoos, and she slithers away as far as she can, under the table. I drag her out, I am not merciful when it comes to tangled doggie knots and stinky dogs. Evie, of course, is very interested, and starts to "help" me.
We have to do this twice, once before washing, and once after, so lots of opportunities for Evie to practice. She also tried "helping" me by bringing an open bottle of shampoo while I was combing, ready to pour it on Lola's back! Yikes! Thankfully I caught her in time.
Now to the tub. (You can see how thrilled Lola is with this part.)
Evie started, what I thought, was rubbing soap off Lola's side, but I didn't notice she had discovered something new, till I got over there myself....
...and she was sticking little face pads onto Lola's wet fur! (You can see how truly ecstatic Lola is about this too).
The fun part for Lola is getting her out of the tub and letting her run about the house after a good towelling. She races around and around the dining room, then out, down the hall, to the living room, and back again. Much to the enjoyment of our little girl, of course.
The next part of spa day takes place at the groomer's, and I don't take pics there, although I really should, since she has two pot-bellied pigs that are quite entertaining! (They'll empty your purse if you're not looking, and take everything outside.) Evie usually stays home with Daddy so that I can focus on holding Lola and not have to worry about what Evie might be getting into, never mind what the pigs are getting into. She has met the pigs though, and was suitably impressed. She loves animals!
So ends another spa experience, and we have a fresh-smelling Lola once again.
