It's a cold and spooky night,
and the moon gives a ghostly light,
Jack-o-lanterns start to glow,
down the street wierd creatures go,
There are many strange sights as sprites go by,
Shell Out, Shell Out
is the Hallowe'en cry!
A song from my youth in choir, when all elementary schools had real music programs. How we loved to sing! (And torment the teacher). I am dating myself, but that birthday post will come after....
To Hallowe'en. Sean in the end, didn't go out, but handed out chips to trick or treaters who ventured up our lawn. We're off the street a ways and it's not well lit, so only the hardiest ever make it, bwahahahahahah!
Evie had a selection of costumes to choose from, as per my last post. We added a couple of choices, and selected the easiest and warmest, namely the Po Teletubby outfit (red). Evie kept calling it her "Elmo" outfit, which was fine. You can see Sean "helping" keep the Po antenna in place!
I made this outfit 12 years ago for Skyler!
This was a little Devil outfit with glow-in-the-dark flames. (Note Skyler in the background looking like he's in the Village people, yes I'm dating myself again.)
And Skyler pulled out some things from the costume box as well.
His comment, when he saw the pic...."Wow, I look like I have muscles!"
Yes darling you do. You both look spectacular. Skyler went out dressed fairly tamely (the Village People was just for home) with fake oozing gashes on his face and little else in the way of a costume. He basically put that together about 5 minutes (I kid you not) before his friend came over to pick him up. The biggest event in his night was getting his candy bag grabbed by a friend, who then took off, but Sky performed an amazing tackle, apparently, in order to get it back. And now we're flush with candy and chips, just in time for Skyler to get his braces...another story.
