Memory from almost one year ago...

Last year Skyler, Evie and I went on a little 5 day jaunt to Germany to visit relatives.  Evie pulled out the photo album of that trip today, and I thought I'd just post a couple of pics.  She's grown...so has Skyler.

I love this picture and I keep using it, so probably not new to many of you.  Evie is in the Pied Piper town of Hamelin, very happy with her new windmill!
I love the half-timbered houses and Weser Renaissance architecture here.  Beautiful little outdoor cafes also.  It being spring, and still a bit cool, some of the outdoor cafe chairs had blankets thrown over the backs, for use of the patrons....just beckoning one to sit down with a warm tasse of cafe...

Little Leon in Tevenhausen.  He's a bit older than Evie.

The Frank Gehry-designed MARTA museum of art in Herford.  I was in Germany the weekend back in 2005 when it opened, but had no steam left for the opening party....I had been up for 33 hours straight, flew over for a different party earlier that day and just flaked out by 8 pm!  this time, we got to see it properly.

The two amusing each other on the plane over.  Evie was on a lap ticket, but we were lucky to get a seat for her, thank you Air Canada.

And one last one taken at the old windmill in my mother's home village of Bentorf.
