Happy 2nd Adoption Day!

Two years ago today saw us fly into Nanchang from Beijing, have an afternoon to get ready, and make our way to the ballroom at 5 pm to meet our babies!

Here, Skyler and I are in the corridor outside the ballroom.  Can you see the anticipation?  I have my receiving blanket and toy all ready for her.

Someone in our group sent this pic to me just today!  I am so happy to have a good "overview" shot of our whole gang (although I'm not sure where Sean had wandered off to).  This is the moment our little sweetie came into my arms!

OK so she doesn't look so impressed, but we did get a little smile out of her eventually.

This was our official picture taken at the Civil Affairs office the following day.

Two recent pictures to show how Evie has grown.  I know it's a cliche, but these 2 years have really flown by.  It just seems like yesterday that she was put in my arms, but so much has happened inbetween.

She is a lively, happy little girl, who loves adventure, but is afraid of bats and frogs, loves the water, loves her brothers (for the most part), her doggy, and of course her Mummy and Daddy.  And we love her to bits.  Sometimes too much squeezing and kissing from Mommy though.  (She tells me so; she's also very direct!)

I love how she is growing up and the new facets of her personality that are presenting daily!

  1. Congratulations, Anne and Bob! Our 2nd anniversary was the 10th, and we celebrated Family Day, a Thanksgiving Mass in the morning, and lunch with all the family at our house. This year I suggested them all to bring family pictures, because I wanted to remember the ones that are gone, but are still par of the family. We had a great time, and a full house, with the living and the happy memories of the past.
